First of all, it’s important to take into account the weather conditions before washing any glass surface. Window cleaning should be carried out when it is not raining and when the glass surface is not exposed to the sun. This is because the sun heats the glass surface and the cleaning agent dries too quickly and leaves marks. The glass surface is first wetted with a sponge from top to bottom. The water is removed with a scraper pressed horizontally against the glass and lowered along the pane. The scraper is then dried with an absorbent cloth and the operation is repeated until the entire pane has been scraped. To clean up small spills or splashes and to make the window shine, the surface and the outline of the window are wiped with a microfibre cloth.
